Craig Sager’s leukemia has returned, according to his son Craig Sager, Jr.
We wanted to ensure he was taken care of & that we knew what the next steps were before we shared this #SagerStrong pic.twitter.com/IhUM2nK8yl

Sager briefly returned to the sidelines on March fifth, showing up in typical Sager style. He was supposed to work the NCAA tournament, but decided against it on the advice of his doctor.
This is simply devastating news for one of the singular personalities of the NBA, not to mention sports journalism. Be it his suits or his love-hate relationship Gregg with coaches like Popovich, Sager’s presence is an NBA staple. That presence was greatly missed in last year’s playoffs, and his absence will be just as heartbreaking this year. Pop’s message from last year rings just as true now.

Get well soon, Sager.
