In America, when we lose a tooth, we stick it underneath our pillow for the tooth fairy to take. In Germany, Dennis Schroder’s homeland, they put their lost teeth in their sock. Apparently, their tooth fairy has a bit of a foot fetish. Or, maybe, just maybe, Schroder couldn’t be bothered to go to the sidelines and instead just put the tooth – which was knocked out after a collision – in his sock and sort it all out later. Yeah, that sounds about right.
