March Badassness: Presenting The Ultimate ‘Game Of Thrones’ Tournament

GoTBracketFinal2

It’s that time of year again: March Madness! When the best NCAA basketball teams match up and play through a grueling bracket of intense competition. Another cause of March Madness? The wait for season five of HBO’s Game Of Thrones, which returns this year on April 17. So in the spirit of both, we’ve decided to cross pop culture streams and create The Game Of Thrones Tournament!

It’s pretty simple: we’ve divided our field of 32 characters into four “regions”: the Royals, the Lords, the Knights, and the Warriors. You vote for who you think would kill who, and then we George R.R. Martin the loser out of existence in sadistic fashion. All men must die — except the winner of the tournament, who gets to live … at least until Game of Thrones starts back up. Then all bets are off.

The first round runs from Tuesday, March 17 through Sunday, March 22. The second round will be open for business at noon PT on Monday, March 23.

Now let’s get to the voting!

The results of your voting will play out through Sunday. Characters with the least votes will be murdered in a post on Monday the 23rd in horrific fashion, because George R.R. Martin don’t play, son. So vote early, vote often, and pray to the Seven or the Old Gods or the Others that your favorite character makes it through to the next round. In the Game of Thrones March Madness Tournament, you win or you die.
