Klay Thompson Celebrated This Steph Curry Three-Pointer A Tad Early

The Warriors historically great season continues. With 21 made 3-point field goals on Friday in a 120-112 win over the Mavericks, the Warriors set the single-season record for most three-pointers in a season with 938. It’s the fifth time this season the Warriors have knocked down at least 20 three-pointers in a single game, while the rest of the NBA has 2 such games combined.

At this current pace, the Warriors will finish the season with approximately 1,068 three-pointers but even if they have an off night they are very likely to still be the first team to finish with more than 1,000 in one season.

Not only did they achieve that milestone they also had yet another 70 plus point first half. It’s the 9th time the Warriors have scored over 40 in the first quarter while the res of the league combined has only done that 13 times.

Despite all their success on Friday, did have one major blunder. In the second quarter, Green was bringing up the ball in transition and passed it to a wide-open Curry. Instead of taking the shot, he passed in to his Splash Brother Klay Thomson. Unfortunately, Klay was so sure Curry was going to hit that three he wasn’t even looking at the ball and already celebrating. Even Steve Kerr couldn’t help but crack a smile.
