Paul George is still under contract with the Indiana Pacers but that hasn’t stopped many NBA fans from dreaming about luring the talented forward to their teams this summer. The most prominent fan base longing for George to arrive is the Los Angeles Lakers, as Magic Johnson is sending not-so-subtle messages and George is on the record as being frustrated about Indiana’s direction. Throw in the fact that Larry Bird is no longer the man in charge for the Pacers, along with the fact that George is a California native, and many have tried to connect the dots with regard to a potential trade with George in the coming weeks.
While nothing is likely to happen until at least the 2017 NBA Draft, George could not escape his professional intrigue on Monday, even during a trip to Disneyland. In short, Lakers fans were (very) eager to let him know that they would like him to arrive in an effort to save the franchise.

In fact, people were reportedly arriving in waves to send their (selfish) regards.

It is extremely easy to see why Lakers fans would want to add George this summer but, even if Los Angeles is unable to pull off a deal, the Lakers could be the favorites to sign the All-Star forward in free agency during the 2018 offseason. In the grand scheme of things, Lakers fans reaching out to George in this manner probably isn’t moving the needle, but it does speak to the thirst factor for a franchise that is used to being in the mix at the highest level.
Oh and, for good measure, Paul George solved a lifelong riddle.
