Marcus Smart Didn’t Fool The Officials With This Outrageous Flop

And now, let us all bow our heads and have a moment of silence for Celtics guard Marcus Smart, who was savagely destroyed by Zach LaVine’s vicious elbow Monday night. The city of Boston will mourn the loss of the 21-year-old in a candlelight vigil on—

Hang on. We are being told Smart is still alive and…yes, if you watch the above video closely, LaVine did not hit Smart. In fact, it appears that Smart is perhaps the worst actor and flopper in NBA history and did not draw a foul call on this play, as this is the worst on-screen performance since any Dan Patrick appearance in any movie.

This wasn’t even Smart’s best flop this month. On Feb. 2 against the Knicks, Smart could have been hit and killed by a Mack truck the way he crashed to the floor against Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks.

Hey, it worked, as Anthony was either so surprised by his strength, like when you pick up an empty suitcase you think is full, or so guilt-ridden from believing he had murdered Smart, that he missed a shot by about 5 feet. Flopping is great when it works.

February has been a great month for taking a dive. In hockey, the Devils’ Joseph Blandisi, well, he did this when he was slashed.

That dive was so bad he was penalized for it.

As for Smart, he had a chance to win the game with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer but missed, and the Celtics lost to the Timberwolves, 124-122.
