Steve Kerr makes winning championships look simple.
He was a part of three title teams with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, then hoisted the Larry O’Brien Trophy twice more in 1999 and 2003 as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. And during his first season roaming the sidelines and barking order, Kerr led the Golden State Warriors to the mountain top – becoming the first rookie coach to win a championship since Pat Riley in 1982.
Is basketball’s crowning achievement as easy to come by as the six-time champion makes it seem? That’s the same question Kerr’s former teammate, Tim Duncan, had for him the day after Golden State dispatched of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Kerr: "Tim (Duncan) texted me immediately 'It's that easy huh?'"

Duncan is one to talk, of course. He’s won five titles during an incredible 17-year run with the Spurs, and will likely be back to try for another in 2015-2016.
As both Duncan and Kerr are fully aware and will surely be reminded of next season, though, championships never come easy – not even for those as talented and fortuitous as they are.
