Watch Andrew Wiggins Block James Harden’s Layup, Blow By Him For Dunk

Andrew Wiggins is going toe-to-toe with Houston Rockets All-NBA guard James Harden in Mexico City. Watch the Minnesota Timberwolves rookie show off his crazy explosion by blocking Harden’s layup, then quickly beating him off the dribble for a baseline slam a few possessions later.

We see you, rook.

This is a big-time opportunity for Wiggins to shine. Not only is this one of Minnesota’s few nationally televised games of the season, but Harden presents the 19 year-old a perfect foil to show off his two-way skills – a devastating offensive player who struggles on defense.

Wiggins had seven points in the first quarter. It’s early yet, of course, but the opening minutes of action suggest he’ll do more than hold his own against Houston’s superstar.
