Meet the former Andreas Jankov, a 30-year-old Norwegian bus driver who recently christened himself “Julius Andreas Gimli Arn MacGyver Chewbacka Highlander Elessar-Jankov.”  And yes, that’s the original, unaltered picture of him from the Norwegian article. Reached for comment, D’AlCapone AlPacino Morris shed a single tear.

“I wanted to show that it is possible to be serious and at the same time take the name you like,” said Julius Andreas Gimli Arn MacGyver Chewbacka Highlander Elessar-Jankov.  The movie enthusiast decided to change his name three years ago after radio host and comedian Espen Thoresen changed his name to Espen Thoresen-Hværsaagod-Takkskalduha.

AHAHAHAHA, get it?  …Me neither.  Something to do with a møøse, I imagine.  Hey, know what I just realized?  His birth named would be pronounced “Andreas Yank-off.”  He’s the real-life Chad Farthouse. Chad Farthøüse, say.

All the 7 new names, other than Julius, is taken from the movie world.I took Julius after Julius the monkey in the Kristiansand Zoo. He is cool, found a lot of mischief, and is also a very good artist.”

Well sure.  Who wouldn’t want to be named after a famous monkey?

“I’ve been down and looked at Julius sometimes,” he says. [haha, I love you, meanings lost in translation.] So far, the long name hasn’t presented any major problems, except some strange looks. The 30-year-old has acquired both passports and bank cards, but one name he has no room for. The passport is Highlander omitted. [VG.no]

Aw, bummer, man, “Highlander” was the best part.  But if you need to shorten it, I put your name into Google Translate and it spit out “Harry Knowles.”
