The final book of the $4 billion ‘arry Potta’ franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be split into two movies (that’s eight movies total).  Part one is planned for a November 2010 release, part two for May 2011.

"I think it’s the only way you can do it, without cutting out a huge portion of the book," Radcliffe said. "There have been compartmentalized subplots in the other books that have made them easier to cut — although those cuts were still to the horror of some fans — but the seventh book doesn’t really have any subplots. It’s one driving, pounding story from the word go." [L.A. Times]

Mmm, sounds sexy.  Of course, Daniel Radcliffe is 18 now, so according to child-actor math, by the time the next movie comes out, he’ll be sharing motel room in Duluth with a sweaty Inuit hooker he calls "Mama" and a crippling Oxy habit.  But at least he won’t be playing Quidditch with his Northeastern private school buddies like these animals.  They make a solid case for legalizing 60th trimester abortion.
