Way back at E3 2014, Sony rolled out the first trailer for their Ratchet & Clank feature film, and that was basically the last time we saw or heard anything about the movie. I’m not sure what’s been going on behind the scenes, but apparently the Ratchet & Clank movie is still on, because we finally have a full-length trailer for you.
The new trailer introduces us to the movie’s antagonists, the planet-destroying Blarg, and gives us a peek at Ratchet and Clank’s fateful first meeting. Even better, we get confirmation that the trademark wacky weaponry of the Ratchet & Clank games will be part of the movie, as we get a glimpse of The Sheepinator in action. Also, at one point the narrator tells us to get ready to “kicks some asteroid” and the trailer ends with Ratchet and Captain Qwark barfing everywhere, because, well, kids’ movie trailers have certain bullet points they have to hit in 2015. At least we’re spared any burp jokes.
Ratchet & Clank will be voiced by the original actors from their games, meanwhile Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Rosario Dawson and Sylvester Stallone will play various supporting roles. Ratchet & Clank hits theaters April 26, 2016.
