Have you already watched the DVD of Mad Max: Fury Road to death? I’m not sure that movie is capable of getting old, but, hey, maybe you want your post-apocalyptic action to be a little more interactive.
Well, this week marked the release of the long-in-development (seven years, at least) Mad Max video game. Somewhat confusingly, Mad Max isn’t a licensed Mad Max: Fury Road tie-in, although the game and the movie struggled through development hell in tandem, so they share a lot of elements. Basically, much like Fury Road, you have your iconic Pursuit Special stolen early on, and you spend the rest of the game designing your ultimate outback death buggy so you can get revenge. The Mad Max universe isn’t much for complex plots.
Just how ridiculous will I be able to get with my car? How many times will I be slaughtered by war boys before I figure out the combat system? Tune in to find out! I’ll start streaming at 3:30 p.m. EST and run for a couple hours, or until I go MAD, whichever comes first. You can check out the stream below, or you can watch it directly on Twitch by clicking here.
Update: You can now check out a hand-dandy YouTube version of the stream below!
