CBS’s upcoming Supergirl TV show recently released a trailer which had some people complaining about the cheerfulness while others were remaining optimistic. I had no issue with the show’s tone (It’s Supergirl. It’s supposed to be upbeat.), but I did feel like the very long trailer showed me every plot beat of the pilot episode. Well, now we can all see if there’s anything new to be seen in the pilot, and we can find out six months in advance, as the pilot episode of Supergirl has leaked online in high definition, and without a watermark.
We won’t be linking to the episode — CBS would blast us into the Phantom Zone — but we will say the leak was first reported by Torrent Freak, and some additional details come to us via Screen Rant. The pilot landed online around 3 a.m. EST and garnered more than 120,000 downloads in the first seven hours. The high quality of the video and lack of watermarks suggests this was either leaked by a hacker or intentionally distributed by CBS as a promotional move.
We’re not particularly worried this will harm the show’s success when it premieres in November. The first four episodes of this season of Game of Thrones leaked — albeit in much lower resolution — and we still tuned in for every episode on HBO.
