Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill just appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America to promote Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. So, if you were wondering if they could jam an advertisement into an advertisement with even more fervor than those Turkish Airlines Super Bowl ads, the answer is yes. (Am I the only one who gets enraged watching Good Morning America? A two-minute ad presented as news, followed by five minutes of drug ads, then repeat? It’s too early for this; I just wanted to see Wonder Woman kick somebody.)
Anyway, you can watch the whole segment above, sans any ads for opiate-induced constipation medication. My favorite part is when Ben Affleck reiterates that Batman advice he got from Christian Bale.
“I talked to Clooney; he had some advice which is not repeatable. And I talked to Christian who just told me to make sure I got a zipper in the suit, which was valuable, practical advice.”
They also talk about another practical aspect: why Superman doesn’t just straight-up murder Batman. Well, because he’s Superman, but as he’s said in the international trailer, “Stay down. If I wanted it, you’d be dead already.” Which might be why Henry Cavill already declared himself the winner.
