Suicide Squad won’t arrive in theaters until August, but that hasn’t stopped Warner Bros. from stoking the fires for a good half year already. The film’s newest trailer will arrive Tuesday evening on the CW, and director David Ayer has dutifully kept promotion going via his social media. This latest entry features a cool, stylized poster, which introduces the squad as the “Worst. Heroes. Ever.” Well, Ayer’s not wrong.
Much of the film’s promotion has revolved around Margot Robbie in costume as Harley Quinn, who inspired plenty of Halloween outfits of varying faithfulness. Robbie’s playful tattoo photos kept up the spirit of Harley, but the full cast should not be overlooked. When you get Will Smith to sign on for an ensemble film, that’s a rarity pointing towards a special project.
These new posters highlight the full Squad lineup, including Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Deadshot (Will Smith), Slipknot (Adam Beach), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), and Katana (Karen Fukuhara). Then — of course — there’s The Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley. The best is yet to come this week with the new trailer. Stay tuned for more supervillain madness.
