Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is tracking to make $100 million to $140 million in its opening weekend, but one thing people might be talking about more than domestic box office receipts is Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. According to people who’ve seen the film, she “steals the show” and has far more scenes than the trailers and TV spots have shown us. These anonymous sources can’t reveal too much about what exactly we’ll see her doing, lest Warner jam them into a suspiciously phallic looking single-passenger spaceship and blast them into The Phantom Zone. But we’re still hoping for that thirty uninterrupted minutes of Wonder Woman kicking things.
The rumors were reported on Collider’s Heroes, where show hosts Jon Schnepp and John Campea discussed several superhero shows with guests Chris Gore and Robert Meyer Burnett. Shortly before the 24-minute mark, they talk about Wonder Woman stealing the show:
There have been some hints that we were only seeing a little bit of Wonder Woman’s scenes. Ben Affleck spoke about his and Gadot’s “Thomas Crown Affair, Bond-y sexy scene that they wrote about two people who are pretending to be two different people who each know the secrets of the other person.” And Gadot has said the character “can be naughty,” which hasn’t figured into the trailers yet.
Director Zack Snyder has also spoke on Wonder Woman’s importance to the movie, saying, “You’ve got to listen to Wonder Woman because what Wonder Woman wants, Wonder Woman gets, that’s just how it is.”
And perhaps what she wants is everybody leaving the theater saying, “Holy sh*t. Wonder Woman.”
Batman V Superman: I Thought She Was With You opens March 25, 2016.
