Lil Wayne Is Suing Birdman For $8 Million

Lil Wayne & Birdman

TMZ is reporting that Lil Wayne is now suing Birdman for $8 million for money owed from his last album. Lil Wayne is also looking to be let out of his contract with Cash Money for a breach of contract. Looks like things will get ugly and “Tha Carter V” release will remain in limbo.

On Lil Wayne’s latest mixtape he stated:

Who kept this s**t together? N****, me, that’s who.
Who was there when n****s left us? N****, me, that’s who.
Cash Money is an army, I’m a one man army.
And if them n****s comin’ for me, I’m goin out like Tony.
Now I don’t want no problems, I just want my money.
Ain’t gotta hold no conversation or my luggage,
Tell whoever’s countin’ that I’m on a hundred.
Birdman Jr., more like Ugly Duckling

Update:

Lil Wayne wants more than just a declaration of freedom. He’s suing for $51 MILLION. And Wayne wants the judge to declare he’s the joint copyright owner of all Young Money recordings … which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and several others.
