Memphis Bleek Speaks On His Relationship With Jay Z & The Roc-A-Fella Break-Up

Memphis Bleek spoke with The Breakfast Club about his relationship with Jay Z. He talked about a conversation that changed his life where Jay Z told him “I’m rich already homie, I’m just trying to help you achieve this. I’m trying to help you change your life and your family’s life.” After Jay Z left him to go on tour Memphis Bleek smartened up. Memphis Bleek also speaks on the backlash from Jay Z’s “And even if I die, he’s in my will somewhere” line.

In terms of music Memphis Bleek says he is passionate about music but not making an album. He states “Nobody cares about albums, music don’t last that long anymore to really drop an album.” Later in the interview Memphis Bleek states egos are the reason Roc-A-Fella Records broke up and why he dissed Nas. Bleek discussed why rap crews are not as loyal these days and his relationship with Beanie Sigel. Bleek recalls the days of the Jay Z vs Nas beef.
