The latter will be making a splash at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Monday (April 27) for her own welcome party to Sin City. On May 6, Carey kicks off her very first Vegas residency “Mariah #1 to Infinity,” following in the footsteps of some notable names in pop music to revive the Las Vegas Strip as a destination for top-tier music talent.
Today, acts from rock bad boys Motley Crue to EDM artists like David Guetta to resurgent star Cher to “American Idol” finalist Taylor Hicks have signed on years-long contracts in Vegas. Prince even started his own Vegas club. Garth Brooks got his own plane out of the deal.
