How far would you go in search of the perfect selfie? Would you ignore safety rules on a dangerous beach? Nab a shot in spite of the impending press of a mosh pit? How about hanging off the edge of a cliff in Brazil, if it means getting the most epic photo-op?
As it happens, a lot of people are doing just that. The cliff belongs to the Pedra de Gavea, a mountain on the outskirts of Rio De Janeiro. It’s 2,769 feet high, and if it isn’t enough to make it all the way to the top, weirdo Instagrammers from all over the world are flocking to the peak to get daredevil selfies at what sure seems like the most dangerous selfie spot in the world. Oh boy will some of these pictures make you feel dizzy (thankfully, from the safety of your couch).
The cliff hanger ones feel a little staged (is that foliage below them?) but others are clearly taken at the intersection of peril and doom. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
