Ant-Man, the Paul Rudd project that doesn’t involve him jumping off a motorcycle, failed to make the same impact as literally every other movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, save The Incredible Hulk and Captain America: The First Avenger. But it still made a decent amount of money on a fairly small budget (for Marvel, at least), and more importantly, it was the final Phase Two film. Next up: Phase Three’s Captain America: Civil War, which is due May 6, 2016, then Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a still-untitled Spider-Man movie, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1, and Black Panther (which just moved up its release date to Feb. 16, 2018).
Hopefully you’re not sick of superheroes by then, because boom, Ant-Man 2.
Scott Lang will return alongside Hope Van Dyne on July 6, 2018, with Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The sequel will mark the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine. (Via Marvel)
Thor: Ragnarok should’ve gone with my suggestion, Thor: Natalie Portman’s Character. Anyway, Marvel also announced today that Captain Marvel (maybe with Ronda Rousey?) is “landing” on March 8, 2019, while “three untitled Marvel Studios films will premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and Nov. 6, 2020.” Probably Avengers: Infinity War – Part 3, Avengers: Infinity War – Part 4, and Avengers: Infinity War – Part 5. Bold strategy by Marvel.
