The ‘Deadpool 2’ Script Is Near Completion And Will Start Shooting Early Next Year

Get ready to whip up some chimichangas because the ‘Merc with a Mouth’ will be gracing the big screen sooner than we thought. Back in April, Fox made it official that Deadpool 2 was getting the green light and keeping director Tim Miller, but it seems that things are moving quickly. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, producer Simon Kinberg says that they should be filming the next Deadpool in early 2017.

According to Kinberg, the Deadpool 2 script only needs some finishing touches. It’s currently being penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who wrote the first Deadpool flick. It makes perfect sense that Fox will be bringing back most of the same crew from the first Deadpool film, including Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds sine the movie has been a juggernaut and earned a colossal $778.6 million worldwide making it one of the most successful R-rated films of all time. Fox currently has yet to set a release date for Deadpool 2 let alone a production timeline, but Tim Miller has stated previously that Fox isn’t pushing him on the project. If the film does begin filming early next year, it’s a safe bet to assume that Deadpool will be breaking the fourth wall and telling delightfully filthy jokes in theaters sometime in 2018.

There have been no hints given as to what the script of Deadpool 2 will bring, but there has been tons of talk about who will be playing Cable. This includes everyone from Dolph Lundgren and Ron Pearlman to actually going with Deadpool’s joke and getting Keira Knightley to sign on.
