Emma Stone will be joining Kate McKinnon and Jillian Bell in the upcoming film, Women In Business. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox won the bidding war for the script written by Laura Steinel. The film is about two women who are sent on a business trip to Canada and end up recruiting a third woman on Craigslist to act as their intern. It’ll be a mixture of a buddy road trip comedy and workplace farce. Jake Szymanski is set to direct. It has not been announced which two stars will be playing business women and who will be playing the pseudo intern.
All three actresses are on a roll this year. Stone is currently filming Battle of the Sexes playing tennis great, Billie Jean King, McKinnon is one of the reasons why people still watch SNL, and Bell is a riot in Comedy Central’s newest series, Idiotsitter. Women In Business creator, Laura Steinel is having a successful year as well. The writer of the Amazon series, Red Oaks has several projects picked up for production including a workplace comedy for Fox called HR starring Patton Oswalt and Judy Greer and another comedy that she will direct titled FAM-I-LY starring Orange Is the New Black actress, Taylor Schilling.
