Sarah Paulson Is In Talks To Join ‘Ocean’s Eight’

Ocean’s Eight
is in need of one more leading lady, and it appears that Sarah Paulson is who they have their eye on. According to Variety, The People v. O.J. Simpson and American Horror Story star is in talks to join an Ocean’s Eleven remake cast that already includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Awkwafina.

The female-led heist film — set to be produced by Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh — will reportedly feature Bullock playing the role of Danny Ocean’s (George Clooney) ex-con sister who attempts to assemble a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a gallery owner. The plot will essentially be a continuation of the popular Oceans films, that were originally based off a 1960 film of the same title that famously featured The Rat Pack. The three Clooney and Brad Pitt starring films brought home a whopping $1.1 billion worldwide at the box office, so you can imagine why they would love to reboot the entire thing and play ball again.

An appearance in the highly budgeted Warner Bros. Ocean’s Eight film would continue a string of Hollywood wins for Paulson. Five of her six Emmy nominations over the past five years have come from playing different characters, making her as close to a sure thing as there is on the small screen.
