Since pre-production began, the internet’s been awash with rumors concerning Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But, until the movie comes out, it’s impossible to know if any of these rumors have actual merit… or is it? In a new interview with the BBC, director J.J. Abrams was asked explicitly for comment on all the stories going around about the new film, and this is what he had to say:
There are a ton of rumors – some true, some false. But I’m grateful for everyone who would want to read a spoiler because it means that they care and want to see the movie. I know what it feels like, as an enormous Star Wars fan myself. (via BBC)
So, it seems not everything being spouted about the latest chapter in the Star Wars saga is baseless, but that doesn’t make things any clearer. Yes, some things will be true, but which things remains a mystery. At least until the film’s release later this year.
