Disney will be debuting a new 30-second trailer for Tomorrowland during the Super Bowl, but like Jurassic World, Ant-Man, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, there is a teaser for the trailer. What does it reveal? Not a whole lot.
Brad Bird (The Iron Giant) and Damon Lindelof (Lost) have revealed very little about the upcoming film. The first trailer was revealed at New York Comic Con along with a full sequence from the film, but the best sum up of the film so far is that Tomorrowland is Harry Potter for science.
Based on the themed land in Disney theme parks, the sci-fi adventure flick from Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Keegan Michael-Key and Judy Greer, and has been teased by Lindelof as. “What Hogwarts is to magic, Tomorrowland is to science.”
The 10-second teaser for the Super Bowl trailer shows heroine Casey (Britt Robertson) picking up a pin with the Tomorrowland logo and being transported to another world, a world that apparently has jet packs. It is almost entirely the same footage from the New York Comic Con teaser, complete with George Clooney’s narration.
The wait for curious Disney fans is almost over, though. Tomorrowland will be released in the United States on May 22, 2015.
