Some people dedicate their awards to loved ones and mentors. Emma Watson, who recently scored the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year, dedicated her prestigious prize to her…dead hamster.
Watson recounted the story of how Millie had passed away during production of the first Harry Potter film. In honor of the pet hamster, the film’s prop department built a hamster-sized coffin, a kind gesture that the actress remembers to this day and highlights as an example of how the British film industry has cared for and supported her all these years. It’s a charming little story that even earns a couple smiles from Jane Seymour and Robert Downey Jr.
