How happy were you during last week’s episode of Breaking Bad when Walt and Jesse began cooking again? Because I was very happy. It had been far too long since the last meth-making montage, and as ever, the song used to soundtrack the scene, “On A Clear Day You Can See Forever” by the Peddlers, was an oddly perfect choice. (The track comes from a Broadway play of the same name, but I’m sure you Alan Jay Lerner fans out there already knew that.) Since the pilot, music has played an integral part on Breaking Bad, so we’ve collected every song that has played during a scene where Walt and/or Jesse make Blue Sky. We don’t recommend playing these tracks while cooking your own meth, but we do suggest listening to Ana Tijoux’s “1977” a lot.
