It’s that time of year again, that time where people who like to attend Coachella are messed with by people who like to mess with people who go to Coachella on the Internet. In such, the first round of fake Coachella posters have been making the rounds, getting all sorts of gullible people excited or disappointed.
With that said, the Rolling Stones headlining the festival is something that might happen, according to Rolling Stone…
Coachella organizers posted an image of a large round stone at the Empire Polo Grounds on the fesival’s official Facebook page, seeming to confirm widespread reports that the Rolling Stones will headline the festival this year.
The Stones themselves listed Coachella 2013 in the tour section of their mobile app for a brief time late last year, though Mick Jagger told Rolling Stone that he didn’t know how it got there.
If the Rolling Stones do perform at Coachella, it will be their first festival gig in the United States since Altamont in 1969.
I wonder how all the LA-area hipsters will feel about their parents wanting to go to Coachella this year to see the Stones?
ANYWAY, here are a couple of the other good fake posters floating around…
“Can’t wait to see Diplo on the Jerky Boys stage, bro!”
