Beyoncé Went Shopping At Walmart As A Screw You To Amazon And Target

When Beyoncé surprise-released her new album on iTunes earlier this week, she upset everyone but the Waltons That Be. Amazon has refused to sell Beyoncé because, according to Billboard, not only aren’t they “happy about the preferential treatment given to Apple,” the online retailer is also still pissed that “Sony Music Entertainment handed down an edict that Amazon, or any other retailer for that matter, couldn’t pre-sell the Beyonce title.”

Target has also decided to not sell the album, unlike Walmart, where they’d step on your kitten if it earned them a quick buck. As a way of saying thank you, Bey dropped by one of the deathly cold shoe boxes in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, to buy a Duck Dynasty backpack and give everyone in the store a $50 gift certificate. To the average Walmart shopper, a.k.a. people who aren’t Beyoncé, whose definition of “low, low prices” is anything under $50,000, $50 is a lot of money — just think of all the bags of generic cereal that were purchased last night.
