David Bowie And Mick Jagger’s ‘Dancing In The Street’ Video Without Music Is A Nightmare

The music video for “Dancing In the Street,” David Bowie and Mick Jagger’s tribute to prancing in loose-fitting pirate shirts, was conceived and completed in about half a day. That may come as a surprise, considering the expensive production values (i.e. paying the cocaine dealer), but it’s true, and the song took even less of their time. But what happened that day in 1985 was nothing short of magic, and “Dancing” is now spoken of in the same giggly breathe as the equally memorable “Separate Ways.”

Anyway, someone removed the music from the video, and now it’s an awkward nightmare. Fun!
