Guns N’ Roses might be making new tunes (we’ll believe it when we hear it), but G N’ R fans can worry about that later, because the band just announced several opening acts performing on their “Not In This Lifetime” Tour and it’s a pretty eclectic group of artists. Earlier this year, the band announced that Lenny Kravitz and Alice in Chains were going to open up several dates on the tour that kicks off on June 23 in Detroit. However, there were certainly a lot of spots that needed to be filled. According to the band’s official Facebook, Chris Stapleton, The Cult, Billy Talent, and Skrillex (yes, Skrillex) will each open a few dates on the two month long tour.

One look at the lineup at Loudwire, you can tell that a lot of decisions on who is going to be the opener depends on the location of the show. Country rock newcomer Chris Stapleton will play a show in Nashville and Canada’s own Billy Talent is slated to open up the show at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The Cult will be playing a few shows down south, Alice in Chains has the midwest, Lenny Kravitz has New England and New Jersey, and Skrillex has one show in Houston.
There are a handful of dates that do not have an opener including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Glendale, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles. If they’re really aiming for a wide-range of genres, maybe we’ll see The Roots open up the Philly show. Right now, these dates are a mystery, but we’re sure the band will be announcing the openers soon.
