Lil Wayne has been a busy man at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. He knocked out his first performance since his seizure scare, but he also took time to have some fun with the gadgets the expo is famous for. Ever the pitchman, Weezy sat down to experience the Samsung Gear VR roller coaster set up at E3 and proceeded to lose his sh*t.
There’s Wayne reacting with all the glee, terror and curiosity of a child as he’s strapped up to the ride, immersed in the virtual reality roller coaster and all its surroundings. He screams “oh sh*t” about a dozen times, reaches for objects in his peripheral that don’t actually exist, throws his hands up like it’s a real roller coaster and flails all over the guy next to him. Watching him enjoy himself is great in light of his recent health scares.
As for the ride, this VR technology has been around for some time now, as Wayne so eloquently displayed in a series of commercials for Samsung. The company has also partnered with Six Flags to offer VR roller coasters on nine different rides throughout the country. The difference being those are actual roller coasters where the riders wear the VR gear, including three Superman themed rides and six others where “riders are transported to a futuristic battle to save planet earth from an alien invasion.”
