Pharrell is an excellent songwriter, having written some of the most indispensable pop hits in the last 10 years, including “Rock Your Body,” “Milkshake,” “Get Lucky,” “Hollaback Girl,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” and “Hot in Herre.” Any one of those smashes has earned Pharrell enough money to last seven lifetimes, and as Discopop noticed, they all pretty much start the same way, with a familiar looping beat.
