An Aussie man named Liam Cooper proposed to his girlfriend, Amy, in grand fashion. A private proposal didn’t appeal to this member of the social media generation; Liam recruited movie theater employees in his scheme to embarrass his lady love in front of a (slightly) packed crowd. He also made a music video out of the ordeal.
This is where things get self-referential. Take it away, Liam: “I decided to make a music video to the song ‘Rude’ by Magic! and screen it in a cinema after the trailers while we were on a seemingly normal date with her sister and brother-in-law. I snuck out to ‘go to the bathroom,’ and you’ll have to watch what happens next!”
Liam must know some people because Magic! delivers a special message at the end of the video. This isn’t an entirely original proposal, nor is it the “best proposal ever” as described as YouTube. But Liam’s effort is less cheesy than the guy who traveled across an ocean as a surprise and the dude who proposed on an action movie set. There’s still no accounting for musical taste.
