Taylor Swift Pays Tribute To Old Hollywood In Her Safari-Bound Video For ‘Wildest Dreams’

Taylor Swift certainly knows how to make an entrance. The 1989 singer decided to debut her brand-new video for “Wildest Dreams” at the 2015 MTV VMAs Pre-Show. Though we had a preview of the new clip earlier this week, we didn’t know that the Joseph Kahn-directed visual (who did “Bad Blood” and “Blank Space“) for the power ballad would feature such a glamorous tribute to old Hollywood.

A brunette Swift rides horses, wears thousand-dollar dresses, and poses with lions and giraffes in this far cry from the super modern clip for “Bad Blood.” The plot of the clip has the singer in love with her old-timey co-star, but they clearly can’t be together. Darn it all to heck! Also, in a very classy move, perhaps inspired by the whole fiasco of Cecil the Lion, the production costs and proceeds of the video will go directly to the African Parks Foundation of America.

Bravo Taylor, excellent video for an excellent cause.
