Rumors that One Direction’s tour is cancelled have been highly exaggerated.
One Direction kicked off their worldwide On The Road Tour last night in Sydney, Australia. To celebrate the occasion, some Twitter trolls thought that they would have some fun at the expense of the group’s fans and got #1DTourCancelled trending on Twitter. Fortunately, Directioners are used to Twitter hoaxes, and most fans realized that it was a prank, even before Harry, Louis, and Liam confirmed that the tour was still on.
As far as I'm aware, the doors are open.

But Sydney you where amazing thank you for being a great start to the tour hope we made a few people smile :)

The hashtag might have been meant as a prank, but Directioners used it to commiserate about all the Twitter trolling that their fandom has endured and their collective skepticism for any One Direction rumors.

At least they are having a better sense of humor about #1DTourCancelled than that one time the One Direction boys got cut from a Saturday Night Live skit, or that terrorist joke on The Daily Show, or that stupid song about Zayn and 9/11.
