Earlier today, Pussy Riot scheduled a press conference at a local hotel in Sochi that was cancelled at the last minute for…plumbing problems. Huh. So the event, which was organized by Cinema for Peace and the Voice Project, was held out on the streets, “where they discussed their experience visiting the Olympic city and dealing with Russian authorities.” They also debuted a new music video, “Putin Will Teach You How to Love,” which collects footage of the collective’s visit to the Olympics host city, including the time they were whipped by Cossacks. Expect Lady Gaga to use metaphorical whips in her next video.
