Hey punch friends! I hope everyone is having a good New Year. The UFC is starting 2015 off very well, with a top notch PPV card featuring a light heavyweight title fight.
UFC 182 will kick off on Saturday, January 3rd from Las Vegas. The festivities start at 7:00 PM ET on Fight Pass. There’s a women’s bantamweight bout, as Alexis Dufrense takes on Marion Reneau, and also a welterweight scrap between Omari Akhmedov and Mats Nilsson.
The regular prelims are at 8:00 PM ET on Fox Sports 1, starting with lightweights Evan Dunham and Rodrigo Damm. There’s also a heavyweight contest between Shawn Jordan and Jared Cannonier, Marcus Brimage takes on Cody Garbrandt at bantamweight, and Danny Castillo faces Paul Felder in a lightweight fight.
The main card begins at 10:00 PM ET and will be available on pay-per-view. Josh Burkman makes his octagon return as he faces Hector Lombard at welterweight, there’s a flyweight scrap between Louis Gaudinot and Kyoji Horiguchi, plus we’ve got Brad Tavares and Nate Marquardt.
The co-main event will be a lightweight battle between unbeaten Myles Jury and the streaking Donald Cerrone. That should be a really good fight. The main event is a light heavyweight title fight as champion Jon Jones defends against Daniel Cormier.
