It’s the weekend, and the weekend is a great time for fighting. There’s no UFC this time, but there are still two cards with a title fight each, so let’s dive into the fun punch times.
FRIDAY
Bellator 135 is live from Oklahoma, starting with online prelims at 7 p.m. EST on Spike.com The main card kicks off at 9 p.m. EST on Spike TV. There’s some good fights on the main card, like a lightweight clash between Ryan Couture and Dakota Cochrane. The main-event is a bantamweight title fight between “The Self-Proclaimed Baddest Man on the Planet” Joe Warren and Marcos “Louro” Galvao. This bout is a rematch from Bellator 41 back in 2011, and Warren won a decision against Galvao.
I’m always wary that Warren’s chin will get cracked and he’ll get knocked out, but I think Joe will manage to bull forward, take down Galvao and grind him to paste for 25 minutes.
Glory’s Top 10 Knockouts
Immediately after Bellator, around 11:15 p.m. EST on Spike, Glory Kickboxing will present the Top 10 Knockouts, hosted by former wrestling mega-star Bill Goldberg. Glory 20 is coming next week, so enjoy some big time punches, kicks and knees to prepare yourself for some huge kickboxing action.
SATURDAY

World Series of Fighting 19 comes from Phoenix, with prelims starting at 6 p.m. EST on the NBC Sports website. The main card starts at 9 p.m. EST on NBC Sports. There are some good fights on this portion, starting with a bantamweight fight between Ed “Wild” West and Timur Valiev. There’s also a fight in the light heavyweight title tournament between Thiago Silva and Matt Hamill. The main-event is a lightweight title fight between champion Justin Gaethje and Luis Palomino.
West has been on a bit of skid, and Valiev has been surging, so I’ll take Timur to win with a third round TKO. I’m not a fan of Silva, so I really want Hamill to wrestle Thiago and take a decision. Gaethje and Palomino are both very dynamic strikers, but Gaethje has faced tougher competition. I’m taking Justin to win with a second round TKO.
Whatever the outcomes, the fights should be fun, so join in for a live discussion on Friday and Saturday!
