Michigan State is, in all likelihood, heading to the College Football Playoff. The Spartans upended the Iowa Hawkeyes 16-13 on Saturday night, thanks to this one-yard touchdown run by freshman running back L.J. Scott with 27 seconds remaining in the game. It looked like Scott was stood up at the line of scrimmage, but thanks to an unreal second effort, he was able to make his way into the end zone.
It has been a special season for Michigan State, and this was the perfect way to cap it off. We’ll find out on Sunday if the Spartans are in the Playoff, but it would be a shock if Mark Dantonio’s team was left out.
