One year ago today, 50 Cent threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a New York Mets game. His pitch, which was just a bit outside, brought us a level of joy that we didn’t know was possible from him, or from the Mets.
In the cold world of the internet, it’s important to remember that everyone (even Fitty himself) can join together in happiness once in a while. We’re celebrating 50 Cent, but we’re also celebrating each other, and the myriad, creative ways we can share our happiness with others. So, let’s celebrate the funniest things the internet did with that pitch, a year later.
First, the memes:

And of course, the potent Combo Memes:

Do you remember how 50 Cent did a Reddit AMA after Odell Beckham’s catch and had the greatest excuse of all time for his pitch?
It’s not like I don’t believe your story, Fitty, but aren’t masturbation injuries usually to the wrist? Should I look this up? You’re right, I shouldn’t.
Earlier this year, baseball card (yes, they still make those) company Topps got in the commemorating spirit that we waited a year for (because we’re gentlemen and gentlewomen) by releasing a special card of the pitch:

Alright… one more time, on a loop, forever. Happy anniversary, 50 Cent. Happy anniversary, internet. You all did great.
