Adrian Peterson has had an awful night against the Packers, rushing 12 times for only 19 yards while catching 2 passes for 7 more. Now, he’s done for the evening and possibly a long while after going down with an apparent knee injury.
You can see the replay here:
If this is serious, this could be a career-ender for the 31-year-old running back. Granted, he did come back nine months after tearing his MCL and ACL to run for 2000 yards, but AP was younger then, and time defeats all men.
Now, the Vikings are left looking at the future in Jerick McKinnon.
As if the #Vikings haven't seen enough injuries to key players this season… Adrian Peterson (ankle) is helped off pic.twitter.com/hpodlQA5Y4

This comes just weeks after Teddy Bridgewater, the Vikings starting QB went down with his own knee injury. Yes, Stefon Diggs and Sam Bradford (who had his own nasty injury earlier in the night) have been carving up the Packers, but this is a massive, massive blow. Adrian Peterson is a first-ballot Hall of Fame player, and this may be tough to bounce back from.
Unless the need to feed AP the ball constantly opens up the Vikings offense…
