Ben “Speedy” Wada, an amateur mixed martial artist out of Washington is currently in jail on $100,000 bail after allegedly beating his 73-year old mother with a flashlight. Police were called to the home that they share to find Ben covered in blood, saying “What happened to my mom… I thought it was a dream!” according to the initial report from KIRO 7 news.
Inside the house, Ben’s mom was found with both eyes swollen shut, multiple fractures in her hands and wrists, and several cuts on her face. According to the police, Ben smoked heroin that morning, ran out of the house, and came back to find his mother in a pool of blood. Wada also admitted to partaking in other drugs like molly.
