With UFC 157 just a few days away, I’m sure we’re all on the edge of our bean bag chairs to see if UFC’s first ever women’s champion Ronda Rousey and her UFC debut opponent Liz Carmouche can live up to the hype and provide us with an exciting main event. Of course, there are other great fights on the UFC 157 card – including Chiesa-Kuivanen, Koscheck-Lawler, and, of course, Machida-Henderson – but with Rousey there is always an elevated buzz, because let’s face it – she’s very nice to look at.
But don’t go calling Rousey a sex symbol just yet, because there’s a good chance she might break your jaw. She doesn’t like being a sex symbol, and you can bring up that ESPN Body Issue all you want, but that was about as self-promotion and MMA marketing as it was sex. It’s not like she’s shaving down there for Playboy or peeing on a shower floor for Penthouse.
Ultimate fighting “it girl” Ronda Rousey, known as much for her pin-up looks as her brutal fighting style, has ruled out the possibility of posing nude for magazines such as Playboy despite a loyal – and growing – male fanbase. While no official offer has been made, the UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion told HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumble that not even a huge payday would convince her to strip down to her birthday suit for the cameras.
“No one should be able to see my cash and prizes for $5, okay? I don’t care how much money they gave me,” Rousey said. (Via NY Daily News)

Obviously, we know that people should never say never, because Rousey doesn’t know where she’ll be in 5 or 10 years, and maybe she’ll have a huge change of heart. Whatever, a boy can dream. And as for that whole sex symbol thing, Rousey isn’t shunning it, as much as she just doesn’t see it.
“I don’t really see myself as a sex symbol because ever since people have started calling me a sex symbol, I haven’t had a lot of sex in my life,” Rousey revealed. “Like, it’s just, it’s not really working out great for me.”
