Bears Chairman George McCaskey Was Allegedly Shoved During A Physical Altercation With A Saints Fan

Things went from bad to worse for Bears chairman George McCaskey on Monday night during his team’s 31-15 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Not only was he subjected to yet another blowout loss and overall putrid performance from his football team, but he also had to endure a physical altercation with a Saints fan inside Soldier Field.

According to a Bears spokesman, McCaskey found [58-year-old Saints fan and New Orleans resident Richard Kohnke] sitting in his seats at Soldier Field Monday night and had a “brief conversation” with him. When the conversation – which centered around McCaskey asking the man to move – didn’t yield any action, McCaskey turned to go alert security of the situation and was shoved in the back.

McCaskey did not require medical attention following the altercation. The Bears spokesman said the incident took place in the concourse level of the stadium.

According to the report, a Bears fan came to McCaskey’s aid and tackled Kohnke to the ground and held him until security arrived. Kohnke was arrested and now faces a misdemeanor battery charge.

Can you make any jokes about a Bears fan making a tackle of a Saints fan? Because I sure can.
