After a sluggish 4th quarter, the Minnesota Vikings had marched into field goal position on their final drive with a chance to beat the Seattle Seahawks on a chip shot in Minnesota’s frigid temperatures.
It wasn’t meant to be. Vikings’ kicker Blair Walsh improbably missed a laces-in 27-yard field goal that would have sent the Vikes to Arizona next week in a Divisional Round matchup against the Cardinals. Instead the Seahawks get the 10-9 victory and head to Carolina to take on Cam Newton and the 15-1 Panthers.
