Most NFL fans probably don’t know who Allen Barbre is, but Clay Matthews is officially aware of his existence on this Earth.
The Philadelphia Eagles right tackle got to lay a huge hit on Matthews while the Packers’ linebacker was in pursuit of an end-around. The block sprung Bryce Treggs for a first down on second and two. This isn’t a pancake block because pancakes usually don’t flail around like that.
Matthews was OK. He was on the field later in the drive when Carson Wentz scored a rushing touchdown right in front of him, even if he didn’t exactly look great on the play.
CARSON. WENTZ.

Not a great start to the day for the linebacker. He had to get looked at in the locker room, but he’s since returned to the field.
