Saturday’s Clemson-Wofford game featured a very scary moment early in the first quarter when Tigers wide receiver Mike Williams suffered a neck injury during the team’s first drive. Williams caught a pass in the back of the end zone and fell into the base of the goal post just beyond the back line.
Williams, one of Clemson’s top passing targets, had to be carted off the field and taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. He raised his arm to salute the crowd on his way to the locker room.
