Plenty of people who support Colin Kaepernick and his decision to protest the national anthem were put off by the fact that Kaepernick did not vote in the 2016 Presidential Election. It’s not a huge shock, as Kaepernick had expressed that he’s not a fan of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, but many felt like his protest was for naught if he wasn’t getting involved in the democratic process.
NFL RedZone’s Scott Hanson decided to comment on the fact that Kaepernick stayed home on Election Day during Sunday’s slate of NFL games. One highlight showed Kaepernick running through the New England Patriots’ defense, which led to Hanson remarking “Boy, he’s got some speed. Not weighed down at all by that ‘I Voted’ sticker.”
